• Upgrades (ASBU) and Continuous Descent and Continuous Climb Operations. 
• Explain the fundamentals of GNSS theory.
• Know the basics of RNAV and RNP procedures design.
• Better understand Instrument Approach Procedures, 
• Understand and apply the operational and risk approval process

This course is designed for staff working in air traffic management, air traffic controllers, ANSP managers and supervisors, beginner ATC procedure and airspace designers, aircraft operators especially flight operations and planning managers and personnel, national civil aviation authorities and the military personnel

•  Evolution of ICAO Navigation Specifications:

1.  ICAO Global Air Navigation Plan and timeline.
2.  FANS, CNS/ATM, RNP, RNAV.

• Types of Area Navigation (RNAV) systems:

1.  *RNAV systems and individual navigation system technologies: DME/DME, IRU, INS, GNSS, GPS, GBASE, Galileo.

• GNSS theory, separation standards, benefits:

1.  GNSS constellations and augmentations systems.
2.  Space-based and ground-based augmentations.
3.  GPS receivers, RAIM, interference and NOTAMs.
4.  GNSS approvals, GNSS (RNAV) approaches.
5. Lateral and longitudinal GNSS (RNAV) separation.

• RNAV and RNP procedure design:

1.  Enroute and TMA RNAV procedures.
2.  Enroute Area Navigation, route spacing and TLS.
3.  Terminal Maneuvering Area (TMA) Area Nav.
4.  Types of RNP and RNAV, regional variants.

• Instrument Approach Procedures:

1.  RNAV procedures and airspace design.
2.  Procedure protection area, airspace structure.

• Controlling aircraft using Standard Instrument Departures and Arrivals (SIDs, STARs).
• Implementation guidance for States and ANSPs.
• Operational and Risk validation process for all PBN applications,
