- Elaborates on an environmental scan (PESTEL). It is a process where an organization can identify and monitor factors that may affect its short and long-term business direction.
- Completes an internal and external analysis (SWOT).
- Builds on the environmental scan and internal and external analysis to create a strategic direction taking into consideration stakeholders’ capabilities.
- Determines the vision, mission, corporate values, strategic direction, goals, and objectives.
- Identifies the necessary resources to allocate, creates actionable timeframes, and defines metrics and KPIs.
- Elaborates the strategic plan.
- Determines the required systems and procedures.
- Starts implementing the strategic plan, controlling, tracking progress, and reviewing.
