Course Name:
Wildlife Management for Airports
Date:21/10/2017 - 25/10/2017
Location:Amman
Conducted By:
RTC
How Will I Benefit?
The landing rights agreement between an airline and all airports clearly indicates that the airport will keep their airspace safe for take offs and landings.
If an airport is not fulfilling this contractual obligation, an unknown and unquantifiable risk of a serious bird strike is always a possibility. There is also a possibility that the airline could pass on the FULL COST of any incident or accident (ranging from $10 000 to over a million dollars) if no wildlife management system exists at your airport. The airline’s insurance could consider this negligence and a breach of contract.
This course will teach the airport how to minimise this risk and protect
themselves against possible litigation.
