ICAO Regulations and National Regulations require that all Airlines, Air Traffic Service Providers, Approved Aviation Maintenance Organizations and Aerodromes implement a Safety Management System (SMS). Such a system is necessary in order to identify operational hazards, manage risks and keep high safety standards in all aviation operations therefore reducing aviation incidents and accidents. 

The course has been developed based on ICAO SMS course. It uses the ICAO model of establishing a Safety Management System and the ICAO SMM (9859) as a reference. 

All line management (Including the CEO) to obtain basic knowledge and skills for promoting and implementing a safety management system in an aviation organization. Whoever wishes to obtain an understanding the implementation of SMS and their role in this process.
